Dawn Harrington has served as the Chief Information Officer - Hospitals since November of 2016. Dawn has held multiple leadership roles throughout her tenure at UNMH and she now oversees computer technology including network, communications, PC & systems, cybersecurity, developers, clinical, administrative, computer learning and financial systems.
Dawn began her career at UNMH in 1989 as a clerk with Lifeguard. She then worked for several years in the Finance Department as an accounts payable clerk and staff accountant, as well as in Patient Financial Services as an operations supervisor. During this time, Dawn was instrumental in developing the Managed Care Department by working with a team to build the Panel and Case Mix Adjustment Department and held a seat on the UHC Board for data design and structure.
In 1999, Dawn transferred to the IT department as an instructional design analyst and clinical information analyst from 2001-2012. In 2012, Dawn was promoted to clinical information manager. In this role, she led the team responsible for implementing Cerner registration, scheduling and the patient portal. In 2014, Dawn was named Director of Clinical Applications where she continued to collaborate with the clinical team on enhancements to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and to implement multiple new applications each year to improve the Electronic Medical Record. Dawn holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, concentration in Finance, from the University of New Mexico and Master’s of Science in Information Technology Management from Grand Canyon University.


Pamela (Pam) Jeffries has an extensive IT leadership background at the university level. Expertise in her field has afforded her the skills required to understand the needs and expectations of the university community, to build strong orgazational relationships, and to deliver and support technologies and enterprinise business solutions that meet user needs and align with the strategic initiatives of the University.
She has a proven track record within the Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) division at New Mexico State University (NMSU) and has supporting the university’s applications. She then advanced to IT Manager of Financial Information Services, IT Assistant Director, PMO Director been associated with NMSU since first enrolled as a student in 1981. Her full-time employment with NMSU began in 1995 as a Senior Programmer Analyst and her current position, IT Director of Enterprise Application Services.
During Pam's tenure with ICT, she has played an integral role in the conversion from a largely disparate group of legacy applications to the university's current enterprise model. She also started up the first central IT Project Management Office (PMO) at NMSU. She managed and led the PMO team in the successful delivery of enterprise IT projects to meet the everchanging needs of the university and serves as the organization’s authority on IT project management best practices
Pam continues to provide institutional-wide project management and application services support for NMSU’s enterprise software solutions and serves on many university committees with pride and enthusiasm. Moreover, she is a true “team player” and has demonstrated an ability to work collegially with campus leadership, colleagues and end-users across the university campuses. Her number one goal professionally is to serve the campus community at large while always maintaining the strictest standards and keeping the university mission at the fore.
Pam grew up in Northern New Mexico and received her degree in Business Computer Systems from NMSU. She settled in California for eight years where she landed her first job with TRW Inc. as a Senior Programmer Analyst. After getting married, having her first child and living through two earthquakes, she thought it might be a good time to move back home to New Mexico and raise her family. Best decision she ever made! Pam is married to Steve, her husband of 32 years and has two children, Nicole (28) and Stephen (22).
